Description

This is an LTE Cat 6 Raspberry Pi communication HAT with GNSS and up to 300Mbps (downlink) / 50Mbps (uplink) data rate. It is applicable for countries/regions including Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Brazil… By connecting it to PC, Raspberry Pi or Jetson Nano host boards, it is easy to enable LTE-A high speed networking, cloud platform communication, SMS, and global GNSS positioning functions.

When designing in an LTE or 3G cellular module, using two antennas always offer the best possible signal reception and module performance. For LTE modules, usage of two antennas are mandatory if you want to take full potential in terms of signal quality and downlink data throughput. A multiband antenna is an antenna designed to operate in multiple bands of frequencies. Multiband antennas use a design in which one part of the antenna is active for one band, while another part is active for a different band. In LTE, these include spatial multiplexing, rank adaptation and UE specific beamforming: By employing spatial multiplexing several data streams can be transmitted in parallel over the resulting multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channel

Features:

  1. Multi-constellation high-accuracy GNSS positioning: GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou/Compass, Galileo, QZSS
  2. Integrates extensive network protocols, with multi drivers and software support, compatible with different OS including Windows / Linux / Android
  3. USB 3.1 port (USB 2.0 compatible) for connecting to PC, Raspberry Pi, or Jetson Nano host board to enable high speed LTE-A communication
  4. Standard M.2 B KEY slot, compatible with different core modules: EM06-E, EM06-J, EM06-A series
  5. Onboard PWR and RST control pin, enabled via DIP switch, for connecting to external IO to turn on/off or reset the module
  6. Onboard USB-C connector, enabled via switch, for connecting standalone power supply for the module, allows more loads, stable amd flexible power supply
  7. Onboard power supply on/off switch, reset button and LED indicator, easy to turn on/off the module or monitor the operating status
  8. Reserved 4x SMA to IPEX antenna interfaces, with pre-soldered 2x connectors for easily using antennas, allows changing the SMA antenna position
  9. High efficiency power supply circuit, up to 3A output current
