This is the PL2303 USB UART converter Board. This is a great little tool for embedded systems that require a serial connection to a computer. The board can simply attach to a USB-C bus and will appear as a standard COM port

Pinout:

  1. VCCIO ↔ 3.3V or 5V output (the module is powered from USB, and the onboard jumper should be shorted to 3.3V or 5V)
  2. GND ↔ GND
  3. TXD ↔ MCU.RX (signal direction: MCU.RX << PL2303 << PC.TX)
  4. RXD ↔ MCU.TX (signal direction: MCU.TX >> PL2303 >> PC.RX)

 

Features: 

  1. Adopts PL2303GS new version device
  2. Supports windows XP/7/8/10/11/…

  3. 3x VCCIO power mode via jumper setting:

    1. VCCIO – 5V: 5V output
    2. VCCIO – 3.3V: 3.3V output
    3. open the jumper: powered from target board (1.8V/2.5V/3.3V/5V)
  4. 3x LED indicators: TXD, RXD, PWR
