Because of their many applications, Pressure, Temperature, and Humidity sensors (PHT sensors) are a common offering from semiconductor companies. The MS8607 PHT sensor from TE Connectivity does an admirable job of measuring a wide range of all three environmental conditions. Each and every MS8607 sensor is calibrated at the factory and the calibration constants stored in the sensor itself. This sensor is a one-stop-shop for all your common weather and environmental-related metrics. Just add an MS8607 and you’ll be ready to finish your enclosure and retire as a Dubia Cockroach Farmer

One standout feature of the MS8607 is it’s very respectable low power consumption at as low as 0.78 µA ! That’s hardly anything! Along with carefully managed microcontroller power usage, getting good battery life out of your sensing project will be that much easier.

While the MS8607 sensor itself is rotund by comparison to some of the other sensors we stock, it’s still a surface mount part so we’ve placed it on a breakout board, nestled amongst a handful of components that take care of level shifting and power regulation. This lets you use it with either 5V or 3.3V devices, so no matter if you have an Arduino, Metro, Feather, or Raspberry Pi, you’ll be able to interface with the MS8607 easily. The breakout has the expected header for power and I2C connections, however, if you prefer to or can’t solder, you can use the Spark Fun Qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors to wire up to your favorite micro with a  plug-and-play cable. Even if like me you don’t mind soldering, STEMMA QT connectors are super convenient for wiring up projects quickly. QT Cable is not included, but we have a variety in the shop.

B3950 10K NTC waterproof High precision thermistor temperature Sensor 5 x 25mm with XH2.54 Connector can be used to measure temperature in a variety of applications.

The sensor has stainless steel 5 x 25mm tip with an XH2.54 connector with a 0.5-meter cable. It is Negative thermal coefficient (NTC) will decrease. But the formula in practice is not linear,  so sometimes an accurate table of measurements is better than the linear formula. These measurements can usually be found in the datasheet that accompanies the thermistor.

Thermistor temperature measurement is stable. The temperature measurement of the upgraded HT-NTC100K can be up to 320 degrees, can effectively replace the K-type thermocouple. It helps much to solve the issues of strict requirements of K-type thermocouple wiring, and the line is long which is susceptible to get external interference and results in temperature fluctuation that can affect the printing quality.

The DHT-11 Digital Temperature And Humidity Sensor is a basic, ultra low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the surrounding air and spits out a digital signal on the data pin (no analog input pins needed).

Its fairly simple to use, but requires careful timing to grab data. The only real downside of this sensor is you can only get new data from it once every 2 seconds, so in your code please use sensor reading interval at 2 seconds or more. Compared to the DHT22, this sensor is less precise, less accurate and works in a smaller range of temperature/humidity.

But despite its disadvantages over DHT22, it is smaller and less expensive sensor for temperature and humidity measurement.
