D06S60 is a silicon carbide Schottky diode its a world’s first diode its maximum reverse operating voltage is 600V Its made by silicon carbide that is why its known as silicon carbide Schottky diode. Its mainly used for switching purpose. Its forward current is 6A. Schottky diodes are used as switches in fast-clamp diode applications. In this application, the base junction is forward biased. With Schottky diodes, the turn-off time is significantly reduced and the speed of the circuit is increased.
