It has a cross-check design, with a horizontal vial for leveling and a vertical vial for plumb, allowing you to check both at the same time.

This particular Duratool Spirit Level has a high accuracy of 3mm per meter, which means that when placed on a surface, the bubble inside the vial will be within 3mm of the center line if the surface is level or plumb.
