Description

The OV7670 CAMERA is a low-voltage CMOS image sensor with the capability of a single-chip VGA camera and image processor in a compact footprint device. The OV7670 captures full-frame, sub-sampled, or windowed 8-bit pictures in a variety of formats using the Serial Camera Control Bus (SCCB) interface. This device contains an image array that can operate up to 30 frames per second (fps) in VGA and allows the user total control over picture quality, formatting, and output data transmission.

The SCCB interface also allows you to programme the necessary image processing operations, such as exposure control, gamma, white balance, colour saturation, hue adjustment, and more. Furthermore, OmniVision CAMERACHIPs employ proprietary sensor technology to improve image quality by reducing or eliminating common lighting/electrical sources of image contamination, such as fixed pattern noise (FPN), smearing, blooming, and so on, in order to produce a clean, fully stable colour image.
