The SIM900A Simcom GSM/GPRS Module with USB (UART) Interface. The SIM900A supports quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz and can transmit voice, SMS, and data information while consuming little power. Using USB to Serial connector and SMA antenna connector are included. The LM317 voltage regulator on board can provide regulated 5V at up to 1A voltage to the board and connecting circuit. An additional Berg strip is provided for GND, +5V, and +9V external connections. It has also the feature of speaker & mic connectivity using berg terminals. It has one silent & important feature that supports the DTMF feature on call.
The GSM800A can communicate with any microcontroller, such as the Raspberry Pi, 8051, PIC, ARM, and AVR.
