High-temperature performance

The benefit of an all-metal design means the V6 can comfortably reach 285°C with the supplied thermistor. If you’d like to print at higher temperatures (up to 500°C) then you can simply swap the thermistor with a PT100 or thermocouple (may require additional electronics). This allows you to print standard materials such as PLA, PETG and ABS as well as high-temperature materials such as Polycarbonate, Ultem, Nylon and PEEK.

Easy to use

The V6 features a cartridge-style heater block, enabling a no-fuss approach to replacing both heater cartridges and temperature sensors. Replacement thermistors, PT100’s and thermocouples can be slid into place and secured with a grub screw, ensuring maintenance is simple and painless.

Precise

Our all-metal heat-break maintains a sharp thermal break to provide better control over filament output; improving start and stops when extruding, as well as more effective retraction, combating oozing and stringing. The all-metal heartbreak features a refined internal surface finish to reduce extrusion force and improve the reliability of retractions.

The E3D Hemera Idler Kit is a component of the E3D Hemera extruder, which is a high-performance extruder designed for use in 3D printing. The Hemera Idler Kit is an essential part of the extruder that allows it to grip and guide the filament as it is fed into the printer’s hot end.

The E3D Hemera Idler Kit is made up of several parts, including a precision-machined aluminum idler arm, a stainless steel idler axle, a high-strength polymer idler wheel, and two springs that provide the necessary tension to grip the filament. The idler arm is designed to be both rigid and lightweight, allowing for accurate filament control while minimizing the weight of the extruder.

The stainless steel idler axle is precision-machined and designed to fit snugly into the idler arm. It is extremely strong and durable, ensuring that the idler wheel remains firmly in place and continues to grip the filament with consistent pressure over time.

The idler arm can be easily attached to the Hemera extruder body using four M3 screws, and the idler wheel and axle can be quickly and easily inserted into the arm. The kit also includes two high-quality springs that provide the necessary tension to grip the filament. These springs can be adjusted to ensure that the extruder is calibrated to the optimal tension for a wide range of filament types and diameters.
