The V6 is our flagship HotEnd featuring an all-metal design with high-temperature performance. The V6 is an incredibly versatile HotEnd allowing a wide variety of filaments to be used as standard. Whether you’d like to experiment with more advanced materials or print at different resolutions and sizes, our V6 ecosystem is suited for every application.

High-temperature performance

The benefit of an all-metal design means the V6 can comfortably reach 285°C with the supplied thermistor. If you’d like to print at higher temperatures (up to 500°C) then you can simply swap the thermistor with a PT100 or thermocouple (may require additional electronics). This allows you to print standard materials such as PLA, PETG and ABS as well as high-temperature materials such as Polycarbonate, Ultem, Nylon and PEEK.

Easy to use

The V6 features a cartridge-style heater block, enabling a no-fuss approach to replacing both heater cartridges and temperature sensors. Replacement thermistors, PT100’s and thermocouples can be slid into place and secured with a grub screw, ensuring maintenance is simple and painless.

Precise

Our all-metal heat-break maintains a sharp thermal break to provide better control over filament output; improving start and stops when extruding, as well as more effective retraction, combating oozing and stringing. The all-metal heartbreak features a refined internal surface finish to reduce extrusion force and improve the reliability of retractions.

The Creality Ender-3 V2 is a popular 3D printer that can be upgraded with a direct extruder kit. A direct extruder replaces the stock Bowden extruder, which is mounted remotely from the hotend, with a direct drive extruder that is mounted directly on the hotend.

The advantage of a direct extruder is that it provides better control over the filament, especially when printing with flexible materials. It also eliminates issues with filament slipping or grinding that can occur with a Bowden setup. In addition, a direct extruder can improve the overall print quality by reducing stringing and improving retraction.

Creality offers a direct extruder kit specifically designed for the Ender-3 V2, which includes a new extruder assembly, hotend adapter, and fan shroud. The installation process is straightforward and can be done with basic tools. However, it does require disassembling some of the printer’s components, so it’s important to follow the instructions carefully and take your time.

Upgrading your Ender-3 V2 with a direct extruder kit can be a worthwhile investment if you want to improve your printing experience and achieve better print quality.
