This Sxx06x SCR series is well-suited for unidirectional switch applications such as phase control‚ heating‚ motor speed controllers‚ converters/rectifiers‚ and capacitive discharge ignitions. At 1.5V‚ these SCRs have a low gate current trigger level of 0.2 to 15 mA‚ with a sensitive variant of this series having a gate trigger current of less than 500A.
Sense coils‚ proximity switches‚ and microprocessors may readily activate the sensitive gate SCR version.
