Description
Involving or operating across two or more bands (see band entry 1 sense 5b) and especially wavelength or frequency bands a multiband radio.
A multiband antenna is an antenna designed to operate in multiple bands of frequencies. Multiband antennas use a design in which one part of the antenna is active for one band, while another part is active for a different band.
Refers to a mobile phone that supports the four major GSM frequency bands (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), making it compatible with all the major GSM networks in the world. The 850/1900 MHz bands are mainly used in the US, while the 900/1800 MHz ones are available in most other countries worldwide.
Conclusion. A multiband antenna for the LTE/GSM/UMTS band operation has been proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna, which consists of the MPIFA and folded-loop antenna, has four resonant frequencies. The antenna provides wide 6 dB return loss bandwidth at both the low and high bands.
Why quad band important?
A quad band phone running on the global system for mobile communications (GSM) network will be able to roam anywhere in the world where GSM service is available. This is an important feature because each GSM network uses different frequency bands.

- Onboard power switch, reset button and LED indicator light, easy to control the module power on and off and check the running status
- Onboard two SIM card slots, dual-card single-standby, can be switched and enabled by AT command
- Onboard high-efficiency power circuit that can output up to 3A
