Description

The DFRobot heart rate and oximeter sensor integrate the Maxim MAX30102 chip and an MCU with a heart rate and oximetry algorithm.

The MAX30102 uses PPG(PhotoPlethysmoGraphy) to measure data, which will be converted into heart rate and oximetry values when processed by the MCU, then output through I2C or UART, making the sensor easy to use and greatly reducing resource occupation of the main controller. Meanwhile, the corresponding upper computer is provided to allow you to conveniently read data by a PC.

Note:

1.The pressure may change when the finger is directly pressed down the sensor, which will affect the data output. So please try to fix the sensor on your finger.

2.Wear the sensor on your finger and there is no difference in the direction of wearing.

3. This product is not a professional medical instrument and should not be used as an auxiliary accessory in diagnosis and treatment.

The sensor V2.0 is equipped with a microprocessor that integrates heart rate and oximetry algorithm, which can directly output the relevant data. And it supports I2C/UART communication.

The DFRobot heart rate sensor is a thumb-sized heart rate monitor designed for Arduino microcontroller

This heart rate monitor sensor is a pulse sensor that is developed based on PPG techniques. This is a simple and low-cost optical technique that can be used to detect blood volume changes in the microvascular bed of tissues. It is relatively easy to detect the pulsatile component of the cardiac cycle according to this theory. The sensor has two holes that you can use to attach to your belt. You can wrap it on your finger, wrist, earlobe, or other areas where it has contact with your skin.

A gravityInterface is adapted to allow plug & play to ease the barrier of usage.  The io sensor shield is the best option to connect this heart rate sensor with your Arduino or other microcontrollers. This EMG sensor is launched by the cooperation of DFRobot and OYMotion, which can detect sEMG to reflect muscle and neural activities of humans. This sensor integrates a filtering circuit and an amplified circuit. It amplifies minimal sEMG within ±1.5mV 1000 times and depresses noises (especially power frequency interference) by differential input and analog filter circuit. The output signal is analog, which takes 1.5V as the reference voltage. The output voltage range is 0~3.0V. The signal strength depends on the intensity of muscle activities. The output signal waveform indicates the muscle activity and contributes to analyzing and researching the sEMG. Specifically, we can use Arduino as a controller to detect muscle activities, e.g. check whether the muscle is tense; the muscle strength, etc.

This is an active induction sensor that can provide high-quality signal collection and it is easy to use. Only simple preparations are needed to apply the module for either static or dynamic areas. The dry electrode is applied to the module and good quality signals are available even without conductive gel.
