Description

The BME688 is the first gas sensor with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and integrated high-linearity and high-accuracy pressure, humidity and temperature sensors. It is housed in a robust yet compact 3.0 x 3.0 x 0.9 mm³ package and especially developed for mobile & connected applications where size and low power consumption are critical requirements. The gas sensor can detect Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs) and other gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen in the part per billion (ppb) range.

Additionally to all features of the BME680, the BME688 has a gas scanner function. In standard configuration, the presence of VSCs is being detected as indicator for e.g. bacteria growth. And the gas scanner can be customized with respect to sensitivity, selectivity, data rate and power consumption as well. The BME AI-Studio tool enables customers to train the BME688 gas scanner on their specific application, like in home appliances, IoT products or Smart Home.

Figaro’s TGS5141 is a battery-operable electrochemical sensor that uses a unique electrolyte that eliminates the need for a water reservoir. By eliminating the water reservoir used in TGS5042, the comparative size of TGS5141 is reduced to just 10% of TGS5042. With its ultra-compact size, this sensor is the ideal choice for size-oriented applications such as portable CO detectors, small residential CO detectors, and multi-sensor fire detectors. OEM customers will find individual sensor data printed on each sensor in barcode form, enabling users to skip the costly gas calibration process and allowing for individual sensor tracking.

The LPM2610 is a pre-calibrated module for LP gas alarms which is precisely calibrated in Figaro’s humidity and temperature-controlled facility. The module uses TGS2610-D00 which incorporates a filter to eliminate the influence of interference gases such as alcohol, resulting in highly selective response to LP gas. The most important process in manufacturing reliable residential gas alarms is adjusting the alarm point. Calibration is a complicated and time-consuming process that also requires a substantial investment in calibration equipment. By
eliminating the costly calibration process, this module enables users to easily and simply manufacture residential LP gas alarms. Figaro has taken the complexity out of designing a gas detector circuit by providing users with a temperature compensation circuit that combines a built-in thermistor and individually adjusted load resistor together with Figaro’s low-power LP gas sensor.
