Description
An INDEX PULSE is a digital signal generated from an incremental encoder on an individual output channel, once per revolution. This unique pulse may be used for several purposes: In conjunction with a counter, it can be used to track the total number of shaft rotations This type of encoder outputs a pulse string in response to the amount of rotational displacement of the shaft. A separate counter counts the number of output pulses to determine the amount of rotation based on the count
In automation applications, Incremental Photoelectric Rotary Encoder 1000PPR/4000CPR With Index Solid Shaft are used as sensors for angle, position, speed, and acceleration. By using spindles, gear racks, measuring wheels or cable pulls, linear movements can also be monitor by a rotary encoder. Rotary encoders convert a mechanical rotation value into an electrical signal that can be processed by counters, tachometers, logic controllers and industrial PCs.
Encoders are available with a choice of outputs. Incremental encoders generate a series of pulses as they move. These pulses can be used to measure speed or be fed to a counter to keep track of position. Absolute encoders generate multi-bit digital words that indicate actual position directly. Incremental Photoelectric Rotary Encoder 1000PPR/4000CPR WITH INDEX Solid Shaft can be used in a wide variety of applications. They act as feedback transducers for motor-speed control, as sensors for measuring, cutting and positioning, and as input for speed and rate controls.

Features :
Package Includes :1 x ROTARY ENCODER 1000PPR/4000CPR | A rotary encoder is a type of position sensor which is used for determining the angular position of a rotating shaft. It generates an electrical signal, either analog or digital, according to the rotational movement. This is a 1000 PPR resolution optical encoder with quadrature outputs for increment counting. It will give 4000 transitions per rotation between outputs A and B. A quadrature decoder is required to convert the pulses to an up count. The Encoder is build to Industrial grade. The Encoder comes with a Standard 2 m cable length which can be extended with extra cable if needed. Note:
Power and Input Terminal Assignments:
Shielding is important. At a minimum, the cable should be protected either by a foil jacket with a drain wire or by a braided-wire shield that is grounded. For very sensitive applications or high-EMI environments, foil jacketed wires in combination with an overall braided-wire shield around the cable should be used to avoid interference and precise encoder output. Output: NPN open collector Features :

The module sends a digital signal on the SIA and SIB pins, depending on the direction of rotation. It works with voltages from 3 V to 5.3 V. The sensor has a 5 pin connector with digital outputs SIA, SIB and SW to be attached to the pin of the microcontroller, e.g. Arduino. Operating principle: Features:
Package Includes:1 x Rotation Sensor | This speed measuring sensor is a wide voltage, high resolution, short response time, and the switch output speed measurement module. It can test the motor’s rotational speed with a black encoder (measured spec. is related to the encoder, the inner diameter of D type encoder that provided is 4mm, can be used for motor output shaft w/ 4mm diameter, which is TT motor we matched, yellow shell and white axis) Features and Specification:
Package Includes :1 x Double Speed Measuring Module kit 1 x Screw set | This looks like a potentiometer, but it’s an encoder switch. It is a cascadable 360 ° rotary encoder switch with 20 pulses per revolution, and each pulse corresponds to a detent. There are LED lights set for each detent to allow users visually check the real-time status of the encoder. For ease of use, the module is designed with I2C data output and configurable accuracy within 1~51 for every detent (set in the program). For instance, when it is set to 1, turn on one LED light by rotating 2.5 revolutions; when set to 51, then one LED light can be switched on by rotating one detent. In order to apply to more scenarios, the encoder is equipped with a cascade function that enables to control of multiple output devices by occupying only one I2C interface, such as, simultaneously controlling light brightness, color, volume, speed, etc. Applications: Application Field
